An Excursion to Ourika is one of the best excursions in Marrakech, it allows the traveler to get away a little from the hustle and bustle of the Medina of Marrakech to enter the Ourika Valley and the Atlas Mountains that offer panoramic views from a Riad in Marrakech. Discover Berber culture by enjoying a local meal and mint tea in a traditional Adobe house. The Ourika Valley excursion from Marrakech is a relaxing getaway for Moroccans and foreigners alike in order to spend a pleasant day away from the heat and hustle of Marrakech. The Ourika Valley stretches between the first hills of the High Atlas Mountains, Berber villages with traditional houses stretch along the river. Despite being so close to Marrakech, this beautiful green valley is still one of the most beautiful and attractive valleys in Morocco. On the way we will pass through T'nin Ourika the town, which is the commercial center of the Ourika Valley where a Souq (the weekly market) is set up every Monday so that the people of the surrounding villages can sell their goods (merchandise) and buy everything they need during the week and to exchange the latest news. We will continue our way through the mountains, where hundreds of magnificent Berber villages perched on the atlas mountains. We will continue the road to the last town of Setti Fatma where we will leave our vehicle to go up to the first waterfall. As we go up we will pass by food stalls, beach bars, a Berber refrigerator made with jets of cold water that comes down from the waterfalls. After visiting the waterfall we will eat again in one of the beach bars or restaurant located down near the river (Optional). We return to Marrakech.
